Alaska Remote Guide Service Offers Single & Multi-Species Rifle Hunts for Moose, Brown/Grizzly & Black Bear, Wolf & Wolverine
Saturday September 7th, 2024
We are busy. We just started our fall moose / brown bear season and have hunters in camp. We are currently experiencing a wet stretch. I’m waiting for better weather to fly back out.
A few days ago, Marilyn, Molly (our pup) and I went for a short ride on our lake. Marilyn ran the outboard. There won’t be many warm days left. It was fun!
We have been making our Bull Magnet (TM) moose calling megaphones for 31 years. They are flying out the door. If you need one, let us know. Just click the “moose hunting products” link at the top of this page. Most orders ship by the next business day. Be sure to check out our testimonials page mid-way down on the left sidebar.
Our 2024 hunts are gone. Now is the time to book your 2025 hunts, before they are gone too! I have lived full time in Alaska since 1976 and love it! The beauty, scenery, wildlife, hunting and fishing is unmatched. I’d love to share Alaska with you. Text, email or give me a call – soon!
Thank you!

Remaining 2025 Hunt Offerings:
♦ 13-day 2 x 1 Peak Rut Moose Hunt = $25,000.00 per person for 2 hunters
Sept. 14th – 26th, 2025
Free Incidental black bear or wolverine (you will need the proper tags) and multiple wolves
Free round trip air charter – a $2500.00 per person value, between Wasilla and hunting camp.
Trophy Fee Brown Bear option for + $8000.00
Highly successful hunts in incredible country.
This hunt takes place in the heart of the Alaska Range in the Shadow of Mt. Denali. This hunt is custom tailored for 2 friends or family members who want to hunt together for two of North Americas most sought-after big game species. We saw several good bulls post season last year.
You will share an experienced guide and hunt as a 3-person team. Past success on these hunts has proven that a capable guide and 2 hunters that are willing and able to work hard offers many advantages over a 1 x 1 hunt.
- Each person can take either a moose or a brown bear and continue hunting for the other. If they take both species, there is a +$8000.00 trophy fee
Additional Information:
This camp is located just above timberline along the edge of a large swamp that opens up to moderately sloping hills. This is a prime rutting area for moose. It is also a popular travel corridor for both moose and bear. I have been using this camp since the late 80’s, and it is my very best camp.
You will sleep on full size cots and share a minimum 8 x 8 or 10 x 10 tent with your partner. We have a separate cooking area with a wood floor and camp chairs. The camp is surrounded by a 3-strand electric fence.
These are prime dates for both moose and bear, and you will be the only 2 hunters in camp at this time.
My area has a 2-brown bear per person bag limit. You could take a 2nd brown bear instead of a moose if that option presented itself.
This camp is accessible only by bush aircraft on tundra tires. There are size and weight restrictions that need to be considered for safety.

♦ 15-day 1 x 1 Spring Brown Bear Hunt = $26,000.00 / 2 Openings
April 5th – 19th, 2025
These are hard-core winter camping adventures on snow shoes and clients need to be in tip top shape and have good cold weather gear. The big boars go to bed last and come out first. We target moose kills and denning areas. Access and camp placement is via bush aircraft on skis. Success is high on boars with 24 to 27 inch skulls with prime hides that square between 8’ 6” and 9’ 6”.
The following information also applies to the above listed hunts:
I’m a Master Guide and have been outfitting on both state and federal land in this area with very good success and customer satisfaction since 1987. I will work hard to get you the trophy of your dreams.
I’m looking for serious hunters who are willing and able to work hard and help with camp chores, packing, and field prep of trophies, and who won’t mind spiking out and eating freeze-dried meals if need be.
Round-trip ground transportation between Ted Stevens International Airport, and “in the field” food, lodging and trophy care is included.
Hunt length includes in and out days
The above hunts are geared for rifle hunters
20,322’ Mt. Denali, and numerous Alaska Range peaks provide some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet.
We always appreciate referrals and hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,

Moose Hunts
Our moose season runs from August 20th to September 25th. These hunts occur above timberline via bush plane access, in a traditional rutting area with lots of big bulls and a very good brown bear population.
I’ve hunted this area since the late 80’s and have achieved consistently high success. Clients can take a FREE incidental black bear/ wolf or wolverine, and brown bears can be added on a trophy fee basis. We also have camps that work great for friends or family. Go to our “Moose Hunts” page for more details.
Brown Bear Hunts
9 day, 1 x 1 – includes FREE incidental black bear or wolf
May, June, August & September = Prices start at $16,500.
These are great Alaskan Adventure hunts. While hunting for brown bear, you will also experience some of this great state’s finest scenery – to include Mt. Denali and several other majestic Alaska Range peaks. I try to custom fit each hunt and offer several options including fly-in back pack hunts, float trips, and light weight jet boat trips. We will be “roughing it” for the most part, spiking out in tents, eating freeze-dried and traveling light. We will hunt hard, and depending on the trip, can often cover a lot of ground. Hunting strategies include predator calling in moose calving areas, targeting fishing holes where bears are fishing for salmon, glassing berries on the hill sides, and bait stations. This area has a two brown bear limit, and we can offer a two brown bear option as well. Go to our “Fall Brown & Grizzly Bear Hunts” page for more information.
Dall Sheep Hunts
Sheep season runs from August 10th – September 20th
We do most of our sheep hunting in my sole use guide concession in Denali Preserve, and generally do only 3 – 4 per year. We achieve very good success on above average rams. These hunts do require clients to be in very good physical condition. Go to our “Dall Sheep Hunts” page for more information.
Depending on which area we hunt, brown bear options can sometimes be added on a trophy fee basis, or this hunt can also be upgraded to a 14 day, sheep/brown bear combination with no trophy fees.

Ben W. from Pennsylvania
Wayne –After 20 years of hunting in several states, none in the lower 48 can compare to my “Alaska experience” with ARGS. I cannot say enough about yours and Marilyn’s hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile to help me with my trip from start to finish. Thanks again. – BW
